Repairing and Painting of the Steeple
Composing this message to all, sort of reminds me of Johns' letters to the tribes. The difference is that John was giving counsel on how to be followers of Christ. We as trustees are seeking counsel on how best to proceed to keep one of God's earthly temples in repair.
We are well aware that perhaps "too often" we have to seek help outside of our yearly approved budget to accomplish the unforseen things that the oldest religious structure in our community brings with it.
This Church and it's loyal congregation and friends, for the past 168 years, have always risen to every occasion to overcome obstacles put in it's way, too prevail as a valuable source of Christianity to our community and the surrounding area.
We as trustees do not wish to dictate the financing of these unforeseen projects, but offer an opporunity for all interested to present ideas to accomplish this latest [has to be addressed] project.
We are well aware of the talent and creativeness the members and friends of this Church; as is typical of Congregationalist; has and are prayerfully seeking your suggestions.
The estimated cost of this project is between $8 and $12 thousand dollars. The wide range is due to the probability of encountering hazardous materials in the form of old lead paint, and also the inability to assess accurately the amount of repair that may be encountered.
If you have something to offer, please feel free to call the office and be put on the agenda for the April trustees meetin, or submit your suggestions in writing to the office, attention Board of Trustees.
Prayerfully submitted
Ron EvansChair, Board of Trustees
